Just finished this one, for a friend's daughter (her name is actually Mikaela) - I had time to finish it off properly this time so it's mounted on hand-made paper with simple a pergamano (parchment craft) 'lace frill' trim. I've used this mount design before and it doesn't take long to make! The text is added to the embroidery with the software I have for my machine; I'll be putting the file for the floral frame on my website tomorrow. Love from Dianne x x x

What a lovely card! You must make alot of cards. What kind of paper do you use, and do you need a special needle? Great job!

I embroider the designs onto felt so no, it doesn't need a special needle, and I mount them in whatever paper or card I have to hand! This particular card is set in hand-made paper (which I bought - and it wasn't cheap!) and parchment paper.

I love the pergamano frames that you have made. Where did you find the pattern for the frames?

I design all my own patterns. Most of them are available as downloads on my website (http://hands-and-heart.net78.net/) but for this one I just traced out the concentric ovals and drew the rest in freehand.

Thanks for posting; also love the pergamano frame that you made. Can you tell me where you found the frame pattern?
