You know Raelene, for the life of me I can't remember the site but there is a Christian site with lots of lovely sayings. Maybe some other Cuties can remember others too.

Sorry! Love and blessings Chris

Hi Lianne,

Yes I had that one, but there is another with lovely bible verses and pretty edgings and I only saw it the other day - but I have so many websites in the bookmarks I can't find it - I've just gone through as many as I could and gave up. Someone else will know it I am sure.

Love and blessings Chris

Would this be suitable Raelene?

I can't fit the first line in under 4 inches without making the letters too small. But you could always add some butterflies or flowers around it to fill your square and I can change the font, if there's one you like better and I can move the text lines within the 5x7 hoop. It is currently taking up 4.25" x 2.95"
email me: melide_menschen@yahoo.com.au if you'd like it.

My eyes have wrinkles when I smile, My hair is touched with grey, Bur all the years became worthwhile, When I held her in my arms today.

A little girl with eyes so blue, and face so fair to see, I look at the world with joy anew, My granddaughter smiled at me. (or so brown and joy abounds) instead if blue or with joy anew. *

OH Lillian if you only knew how this touched me as my Granddaughter is just discovering me, her Grams, and she stares into my eyes as if trying to see my soul and it touches me so deeply. This poem says it all for me.
Thank you. HNR, M

Here are some ideas for you.

1. A grandmother's love is always in bloom.

2. I'm the Twinkle in my grandma's eye

3. Grandma says when God made me He was just showing off

4. Depending on what day of the week she was born

Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is full of woe.
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving.
Saturday's child works hard for a living.
The child that is born on the Sabbath day Is fair and wise and good and gay.

5. Those who sleep under a quilt, sleep under a blanket of love.

6. Grandchildren complete life's circle of love.

7. Grandchildren are the dots that connect the lines from generation to generation.

If I find anymore I will come back.

Thank you all for your help. Meg has digitised the centre for me to fit a 12 inch block The other sayings are to go on 6inch blocks so they can't be very long I am going to stitch the centre later today and will post it in projects again THANK YOU

Based on the poem that goes ... Roses are red

Flowers smell sweet

Butterflies are pretty

Granddaughters name is too

Grandma loves you

You could stitch each line on a seperate square of course this is just a rough draft I am sure there are more poetic people that could make a better rhyme. Just an idea.

Raeleen, it certainly looks like you have some wonderful sayings. And what a wonderful saying you have chosen for the center block. My mother used to sing to us:

Two eyes that shine so bright....
Two lips to kiss good night...
Two arms to hug me tight....
This little girls of mine....

There were other words, but can't remember all of them right now.

Please let us see this when you complete it. Hugs
