time we are asking for some additional prayers. Rick become unresponsive - due to the swelling - they have given him med's to see if that will reduce the swelling - they will do another cat scan in the morning - if the swelling hasn't subsided - they will do a brain operation. So for now - more than ever I need prayers for the surgeon to have an aleart mind, hands and good vision to see what he is doing. Then a prayer for a good recovery with no further damage to Rick's brain. I can't tell you how loved I have felt with your prayers being sent from around the world - but it surely has calmed me some and I am trying to be prepared for whatever God has planned for us. There is the most beautiful painting in our local hospital at the surgery entrance. It's the surgical room with doctors surrounding the patient. But also near the patient is the Lord. The name of the painting is "Chief Of Staff". I love this painting and it brought such comfort to our family when my brother was so critical.
I pray if surgery is needed the Lord will be near your husband and the doctors to guide and protect.May you and your husband feel God's touch of strength, healing, and hope now and the coming days.

Thanks for letting us know what is happening. I have prayed for you both and will ask the Lord to be there himself and oversee the operation if one is needed, because He is the best Surgeon you could have. I do not have an English Bible so I hope I have this correct (translated it from my Afrikaans Bible) - read Isaiah 41:10 - "Do not be afraid, I am with you, do not worry, I am your God". That is what kept me going when my late husband was so very sick. Don't forget to eat, you need your strength. Hugs
