How is it that some cuties seem to know how to send a PM, but not to open a reply PM and answer questions, that need to answered to comply with their requests?

Don't know if everyone really knows how this site works. Some people may not visit each day either. It amazed me that someone was astounded that they missed alphabet letters, but admitted they only visited the site sporatically.
Oh well.
Just don't worry about it Sewdoctor. They'll get in touch (if they remember), in the future.

Sewdr. they'll learn sooner or later, it took some of us a while to learn to look at everything when we logged on. Now I try not to miss anything. *

I wondered the same thing. They know how to SEND a PM so you expect them to READ the answer. Well, if it's a request I expect they don't really need it after all. But what I mind is when I have made whatever they wanted and ask for an email address to send it to, they don't answer.

I especially hate that Martine! Usually people send a PM to request you digitise a design for them, and I usually make a start on it straight away while waiting for them to EMAIL me with further details....
1. so i don't waste my precious time creating something that won't be suitable ;
2. So I can put their email in a special folder that only contains digitising requests, so I can find it more easily and I can refer to it while I am doing their design &
3, so I can send them the draft design for testing and tweaking if necessary.
I often wonder why they don't even bother to reply then and yet I have given them my emad.
Do they think I am some kind of thief who will steal their identity???
HMMM! If it is good enough for me to digitise designs for them for FREE, it should be godd enough for them to show me the trust to give me their emad and also to SIGN their name and not leave it either unsigned or with some online ID. Aaaaaargh!!!! People, Really, come on!!!

Exactly the same here, I start digitising and then give my email address asking for the size and the format, and then nothing or 'put it in DbC' even if it is something personal.

mops gave the answer that is most likely the problem. When you reply you have to click on "reply" in the PM area. If you click on "add comment" in that area it doesn't work and the recipient will never see it.

Gosh, don't think you'r referring to me in particular, but I may be "Guilty" of atleast one of the listed offenses. I'm pretty sure I've added a "comment" a few times assuming I was "replying" correctly. I visit everyday and I'm trying my best to figure out how it all works...please bear with us Newbies...realistically there are no directives to follow that I've found anyway. Forgive me as I learn...it is out of sheer ignorance and not beligerence, LOL! P.S. Feel free to let me know if or when I commit errors. ~Rita
added: I just went and checked on a response to mooie24...I DID do it wrong. I can't say for sure now, but I truly don't remember seeing a "reply" box at the time...hmmm!

I wasn't refering to any ONE person. I have recieved several PMs asking for labels, but when I ask a follow up question, with the reply button, it is seldom answered.
It's not WRONG to make a comment, but it does not show in the tab. So it may be unnoticed.
