Carolyn you could put,"Thank you for your great work" I know people don't like them when they get a ticket. My husband and I have always said they are doing their job and keeping us safe. We just heard on the news that an officer was killed this afternoon. Leaves a wife and 3 young children. My heart goes out to his wife and family. Thank your son for his great work. They deserve every penny they earn and more. I wouldn't want their job. Hugs Lynn.

Why pigs???I don't get it??
by wendymay60 09 Mar 2010
my understanding that pigs come from the crims. they don't like being caught & to warm their fellow crims when the police were around they would call pigs also the police were quite tough those days, we need a little more tough these days. 'If you don't do anything wrong you have nothing to fear'

There is a free design at SewForum that says, "Police Station toilet stolen. Police have nothing to go on!" The design also has a pair of handcuffs on it. You can find it in the Free Embroidery Designs section under the heading "police" and the digitizer is boo2peep. There are also more police-related designs there. http://www.sewforum.com/

The reason police are called pigs is because in the 60's, doughnut shops were an easy target for robbers, thus, the police started hanging out at these shops. The robberies went down but the name 'pig' stuck.

God Bless your son, I realize how dangerous his job is. My husband retired from the police dept in our home town after 26 yrs. I know a lot of people are not very supportive of the policeman but who do they call when something happens and wants them to make everything right or. Today they cuss them and tomorrow they need them. It's not fair.

How about "Hands Up" - sorry I know you can't wipe your bottom without hands - but it just tickled my sense of humour.
