I made this picture with Brazilian Embroidery last year. I used a special thread for this which a Rayon. It is very time consuming but I really enjoyed doing it Some of the petals of the Fuchias have to have the thread wound around the needle 50 times and then gently pull it through to be placed where it has to go to completed the petal.

Beautiful work. When my daugter was small (many years ago) I did simple little Brazilian Embroidery flowers on all her dressy socks to match her dresses. I wish I still had the directions for the little flowers I did. I would love to embellish my granddaughter's socks but can't remember how to do the design. It was very pretty. Yours is magnificent!

It's gorgeous Dixie! Why does it call Brazilian Embroidery? I'm half Brazilian and never seen this kind of work before. I just love it! Great job!

Thanks I'm not sure why they call it Brazilian work I will see if I can find out. Sometimes it is because it started in that Country many years ago
