I asked the same question not too long ago, they explained that the flowers are a token for something you do or help or everytime you long in it is not a voucher for buying any products.

It's a fun thing. We give them and collect them. They have no other purpose ather than make us smile. When you click on the green flower it turns orange and you have given that Cutie a flower. Click on Tutorial and will find a lot of helpful hints how this site works. WELCOME to Cute
