She has bone loss in her skull, right femur, vertebrae, and now a fractured left pelvis. If she is well enough soon, she will have surgery to have a rod put in the femur so she will be able to weight bear on her legs. Meanwhile, she has to use a wheelchair to get around and needs two aides to help her out of bed etc.

My dear friend... I pray that this time will soften your Mom's heart to the good news you are sharing with her. Oh Joanie, I wish I could put my arms around you, but GOD already beat me to the punch. :-) You two have had your differences over the last few years and I know GOD is using this time to pull you two close again.

I will pray for your Mom's healing for sure... and I will pray harder for her salvation!

Love you bunches! Let's find a time we can hook up this week and I'll call you. xoxo teri

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. Mom's surgery date is still unknown. I have requested a few days off work in a row so I can stay in the city and be with her and give Dad a nice break. I am making her a quilt and needing ideas and designs of something to embroider on it. Any help please?!?! Thank you. Also lookig for a simple camera design to stitch on a couple spring jackets for my niece's business.
Bless you all :)

Joanie, how about putting all of her favorite things on the quilt?...her favorite flower, favorite animal etc. Of course, you could make it in her favorite color too. Just an idea.

Huge hugs for you. This is so hard to deal with but God does give us strength. I feel for both you and your mom, I have just been through a similar experience and lost my mother last month. You will be in my prayers.
Love & hugs, Nadyne

Hi Joan,

I'm so sorry to read about your Mother. It's always heartbreaking to watch your loved ones deteriorate before your eyes. I'll keep you and mum and the family in my daily prayers.

I also pray that the surgery, if she chooses to have it, goes well. At least she will be able to walk on her legs properly once healed.

Keep up your great work - love and blessings Chris

Joan, I don't know you well, but in hours of pain, all of us need all support we can have in this world. God knows each one of us, and He cares about each one. Have faith, and don't give up, ever never give up, ok?
