Hello to all, I saw by the free designs, "button" lace. Can someone tell me please where or how to use those? Are they just ornaments? Can you give me some ideas? Great site :-)

I am hoping that it can be used as you would any lace design. The pictures seem to show it as free standing lace and some on fabric. Try it both ways and see what happens. Remember to save your test pieces and use them as embellishments on another item like Christmas stockings. Have fun and best wishes to you all.

I stitched the set that show three and they look to be sturdy enough to use as actual buttons. They are very dense and after washing out the WSS they are very sturdy. They are a little large for the usual blouse button holes, but IMHO would work fine as a button on a blouse. You could also just stitch the set of three on collars, pockets, or as embellishment on just about anything. I've very pleased with how they turned out.
Hope this helps.

I would use them as fake buttons such as on a pocket on an apron where there could be a button,
but it's not really necessary to have one. Or as an embellishment near the collar on a knit shirt to where there might be buttons. I think they are just decorative clothing accents and very fun.
