more or less 500 complete set. About 70 incomplete missing a letter or two or three. Quite a few with only a dozen letters or so, don't know whats up with that. How about the rest of you collecters? I'm so hooked its not funny!!! Hugs and keep collecting to all.

AWE Yes I have been bitten by this alpha bug for quite sometime now too...I joined 8 claws and a paws simply for the alphabets..I get 3 new complete alphas a week...I use alphabets daily in my embroidering endeavors so I guess that's why I am always on the look out for them..Watch out though..It takes alot of time just searching in my catalog for a paticular one I need..HEHEHE..

I have no idea how many are out there. I do not think there is a law about how many free alpha designs that you can download. I am sure some of our family can give you more info. about this. I am also a hooked collecter. Have more than I can use in a life time. Teehee!! H&*

Good question!!!!! i do not know how many Alphabets I have, When the folder I think is too big I loaded to a Cd i have some in old floppy disks. Like you I have full abc, some i missing letters and others that I need half or more. i am plannig to go through my ABC folder and start deleting the incomplete one. This is a good group therapy Now I know that I am not alone there are many of us.

I wouln't delet the incomplete ones maybe put in seprate folder or CD. Cause you never use all the letters in a alphabet anyways. One you delete will be the one ypu next week.

My husband asks the same question, not game to count how many different ones I have now. Complete are in a folder each but the incomplete I have a folder for the As Bs Cs etc so have extra 26 for them.

Had no idea I had that many until I started counting. Probably will not use all the letters in all the alphabet. But I do ,do lots of towels for different Functions. and lots of pillow cases with names on them

Oh, am I glad to be in good company. I am afraid to count how many I have. I have them divided in folders, free, Cute, and by digitizer sets. I don't know if I can get an accurate count if I try. See you in jail. Hopefully we will all be in the same cell or nearby so we can share.

I think the saying goes, " The one who dies with the most alphabet designs wins."

Funny!!! I think that as long as there is talent and imagine, the alphabets will keep increasing! You will just have to step back and take a good look and decide which ones you will really use, how much storage you have on your computer, or how much you are willing to pay for disc. heehee If I know I will never use them, I pass the temptation. It is hard but all my collections will probably be trashed when I pass away because no one in my family is interested in machine embroidery. My son can use the machines but like everything ele, he has no time to get involved in it. His wife nor her daughters have shown no interest in learning how to use the machines. I only have 1 friend that has shown any interest in my machines but she has very little patience and a firey temper. The machine would most likely end up in the trash after a few messed up tries! I do not have alot of patience but my strong will to do everything I start balances out the "no patience"! My Mom had a saying that goes through my mind quiet often. If a task is once begun, never leave it til its done. Be a laborer great or small, do it well or not at all. I know I heard it a million times while I was growing up!!! My Mom would never allow me to start something and not finish it. I have a child's set of some simple "Sampler" hand embroidery items that Mom bought me when I was about 10 yrs. old. I cherish them dearly. Hugs, Linda

haha, I think there's only one alphabet but in many, many, many kinds of fonts. I suppose we will never have the time to embroider all of them.but who cares?it's a nice addiction to collect :)

Oh Joy!! Until now I've kept quiet about my 'addiction', but now I know I'm in good company and it's such a relief!!!!
I enjoy getting my daily alphabet letters and freebies so much that it gets me out of bed, very early, to use the Off-Peak internet time. 12 months ago when I began machine embroidery I let some designs go, thinking I'd never use them - now I wish I hadn't been so 'sensible', and only yestesrday I pulled up one of the first ever freebie designs I saved and it was perfect for my project - and now I'm glad I squirrelled it away. Filing and collating is another love of mine so the two addictions keep this gently-getting-on-in-years design collector up and running every day. I love the thrill of the hunt and incomplete sets really bug me but I hang on to them and I also hang onto the few single letters that I've gleaned in a special SpareAlphabetLetters folder.... who knows but one day they might be just what I need.
I've backed all my designs up on 8GB and 16GB flashdrives.
AlmaG.

If you love hunts and you moght already be doing it. The first of each month Design Fest Hunt starts. Usually several like 10 to 15 different site and there yahoo group get togather and do a hunt again over several different site. Very time consuming but lots of fun.
