Lenten project for our church. This is a cutwork design of grapes and then I added a wheat design that i mirrored around the grapes.
this is our main altar. One design was placed in each corner. On the small altar in our chapel I put one design in the middle.

Cindy, this is beautiful. I am going to make my first altar project and have been looking for information. What fabrics do you use? This one looks nice and silky. My first project is a communion veil and a fair cloth, with symbols for our LCMS church. I'm also looking for appropriate machine embroidery designs. I want to find a plain cross, about 7" high. The designs you used here are perfect, too. Where can I find the fabric and the designs? Please help. Vivian

Vivian: Thank you very much. This is one of the places where I have gotten free designs from. Ihttp://www.windstarembroidery.com/Christian-Embroidery-Designs.cfm I use a good quality cotton or cotton blend. I will PM you with more information.
