organizing. Am I the only one drowning in designs? I guess I shouldn't complain. I have so many wonderful designs, but oh, I want to be able to use them which means quickly locating exactly the right design.

I name them something I will remember or a clue as to what the design is and file it in an appropriate folder named Lace or Baby or Toys. It has to be your own, so you will know a key word when you get ready to pull it back up.

I actually keep two files. 1st by the name of the place I get the design, eg: cute embroidery. Then I have a second file that is by keyword, such as animals- inside that file I subtitle, eg: cat family, dog family, etc. Inside those files I have redwork, applique, lace, etc. Works for me. I also put an ending key on the designs in the keyword file, such as ce all designs from cute embroidery. That cross reference helps me find my designs pretty quickly. I too am way behind in the filing of designs.

I use the same basic folder names for each digitizer/name of website so it is easy to locate a design. But gee whiz, I have too many designs to organize

I am retired and live alone, yet I never have been caught up with organizing my designs. Over time I have gotten a lot more chooosie what I download and still there are sooooo many beautiful ones out there. So I will still collect them and be behind with the sorting.

I take comfort in knowing I am not alone. It is not the organizational list but the hundreds of designs waiting to be placed in their correct homes that is the problem. And I have not looked at the last 45 pages of Cuties designs. Sigh.

I have one folder: embroidery that has in it many folders with names like: flowers/ baby things/ animals/borders and so on. when I DL a design I safe it in the correct folder nad at the name of the design I add the site where it's from.
