Hi cuties, can you explain to me if I must put a sheet of solvy(wss) above when I embroider a letter embossed on a bath towel?

Hello Claude, I always do, the plastic looking WSS only when I use embossed designs I don't do anything in the hoop, only my towel. Hope this helps you. Have a nice weekend. :0)

Hi there
I thought you do not use wss on towel when do embossed designs.. as you want the letter to show through.. and the embossed part is designed already to hold down the towel loops..
hope I am correct ..

Hi
I do use solvy when I embroider on towels, otherwise the loops creep through the embroidery. It just makes it look nicer. Hope it helps.

I always use this on bathtowels, because in my opiniom the result is better.I hoop the towel and put a piece of wss on the place where the embroidery has to come.

? stops the loops getting caught and causing problems. Its just one of those things that I do, someone here ages ago said do it so I do. I have to admit that it does give a good finish and the design is more visible - it does not get lost in the toweling - if I sew with the wss
