I have younger siblings due to my Dad's marriages after my parent's divorce. My 23 year old sister announced that she is expecting in November and there is more exciting news that I can't reveal yet until more of the family knows (just in case they read this). We also helped my older daughter buy her first car. She has her learner's permit now and will get her license in the summer. Then there is the kitchen remodel that we are about to begin so if I need to vent here once in while it will probably be about the kitchen.
Yes, a lot going on, and all good!
Glad you have a sister who will love whatever you make her and the baby to be.
Think of remodeling the kitchen as a year long camping trip. Experiment with one pot meals, etc. Plan on
spending as much time out of doors as you can.
Good luck on your older daughter and driving. Mine only got her license to have ID for college. Guess I traumatized her by screaming when we went off the road, into a ditch, and then back onto the road. Silly Mom.
Waiting for your exciting news; will appreciate it whenever it is revealed! Glad you're showing discretion by not telling us before the family.
Hope your Sunday is lovely. Thanks for all that you do for us!
We will put the refrigerator in the foyer (it will look lovely when we open the front door). Toaster oven and microwave in the pool room along with all of the cupboard contents. I suppose it will give me a chance to prepare for a garage sale.
I taught all our 3 children to drive, because I'm more patient than Trevor!!!!! Sometimes, I wonder though, it was a bit nervewracking!!! Over here in Australia they can get their learner's from the age of 16-17 years of age for a year (and they have to have 120 hours of supervised driving, which includes 20 hours of night driving)and then they go onto a provisional licence(P1) for another 18 months - this is to try and stop the many road deaths that occur of our youngsters. I sometimes think they are invincible!
We are currrently renovating our kitchen too. Have had the builder on the phone tonight and we are having the check measurer come around in the first week of May. Trevor and I went out last weekend and bought a double wall oven, a cooktop, a rangehood and a stainless steel double door fridge which will make ice cubes and cold water (he's always wanted one of those). Me personally can't stand cold water and only drink tap water! I went out yesterday and saw a sink and a tap that I'd like but will organise that next week.
Good luck with all your renovations, it's messy isn't it?
We did it at our previous house! and it was months, they say this will only take a couple of weeks! We'll wait and see! Love and blessings Chris
Our young drivers have limits too. Learner's permit at 15 1/2 for 6 months. When they get the license they cannot drive between 11pm and 5am and they cannot drive other kids for a year. It wreaks havoc on the school carpools. All the kids want to drive but they can't take other kids so there are a lot of cars. It's safer but not good for the Earth.
Another meet this Saturday for my girls!
