If they have a party with a cake you could do a 3D FSL design for a cake topper. I don't have any particular design in mind, just the idea.

Hi,<br />Here's some towels I made for a 50th Anniversary. Hope you like them.

Sorry, I tried to upload an image of the towels but received message of an upload error, invalid file type (whatever that means).

The towels showed their first names at the top. Then a pair of champagne glasses.
Then their wedding date at the bottom.

Embroider on toilet paper, a couple who has been married for 50years dont need anything except a laugh!

Gorgeous stitches has a nice lace 50th anniversary - and it is free. This done on towel would be nice - I was just thinking that we had some of the 50 anniversaries coming up, but can't remember who they are just now. LOL

If you have time, you could do a photo album cover and ask guests/friends/family to bring photos of their lives together or even baby pictures to add to the album!

I would contact Lynn123rose here on Cute and have her digitize a picture of the couple for you. Then you could make them a really nice pillow, blanket throw, or picture to hang up. Shirlene made a lovely picture of her mother. I think she digitized it herself. The 50th is the Golden Anniversary so use some metallic thread (or at least goldtone) Such a special anniversary!

For my parent's 50th., I made a memory book. I asked friends and family to write down a special memory that they had of my parents. I then typed them out on golden parchment paper with gold colored ink. Then I had the pages bound into a book. I made a special embroidered cover for the book with the title "Fifty Years of Golden Memories". It was my parent's favorite gift and a treaure to me now that they have both passed on.
