Oh Gerry! Not fun!!! I know the feeling of itching so badly you want to take a wire brush to the area. Can you leave the tape off and let the incision dry out?

I do hope the recovery will be as painless as possible and that it heals very quickly. So sorry you have run into a complication this quick. Maybe some Benadryl cream or pills will stop the itching. I would first ask the Dr. before I used any meds though. Good luck on a speedy recovery. Hugs, Linda

I feel your pain, I too have a allergy to surgical tape. It is very painful and it does look nasty like you have been scalded or blistered. hopefully it will heal quickly. Sara

I am also have an allergy to tape, even a bandaide. It make a worse place than the cut itself.
