Scissors Holders made today by my 8yr old grandaughter Samantha and her 7yr old brother Alexander. Not bad for their first attempt. They did have a little help from me! They just loved doing these and are now so enthusiastic and want to do more! Thanks to smithandsmith for such an easy project for them to do. Am now looking out for more for them to do.

What a great start for your grandchildren. They will be well stocked by the time they are adults with their own sewing tools thanks to their loving grandmother.

Actually I don't have a lot of patience!! But I guess I know how much they love the sewing room .. but then so do I!! The machines these days are so easy to use that they are quite capable to do some things! When the other grandies come they will want to join in I'm sure .. there are seven altogether!!

just to let you know maryp1,, i added some book marks too that the kids would like to do also. They would be easy for them and make great little gifts for there reading buddies.
Yes! they have already seen them! They are back to school today but I know what they will want to do as soon as they get home! I'm also going to let them try one of your little candy bags.

It is good to see that the next generation is carrying on our passions even if in different ways to what we learned when we were young. Technology is making it so much easier for them and they learn so quickly!
hi mary,, my daughter took hers to school to show her friends and it looks like we are making some more. She plays alot of sport so these help with her gym bag...lol

Yes. We are really hooked on them! The kids just can't wait until we start another one. Although they have gone back to school today but I just know what they will ask as soon as they come through the door!!
