LUCY I WRACK MY BRAIN FOR WORDS TO COMFORT & LIFT YOU UP. FIRST LET ME TELL YOU I HAVE A FRIEND WHO WAS DIAGNOSED WITH LYMPHOMA 25 YRS AGO. HE WAS MY PASTOR IN OKLAHOMA. HE HAS PROBLEMS FROM TIME TO TIME BUT GOES IN REMISSION & CONTINUES TO FUNCTION. I KNOW THIS IS VERY RARE BUT IT HAPPENS & I BELIEVE IT'S BECAUSE OF PRAYER. GOD IS STILL IN THE MIRACLE PERFORMING BUSINESS BUT YOU MUST TRUST & BELIEVE HE CAN DO IT. I KNOW THERE WILL BE MANY MANY PRAYERS GOING UP FOR YOU & YOUR BROTHER ASKING GOD'S WILL FOR YOUR LIVES. TELL HIM YOUR HEART'S DESIRES & LEAN ON HIM. GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND./LILLIAN

Lucy dear - when things like this happen - they are generally for a reason - to make you stronger and for you to work on doing the things that you need to do - to be there for your dear husband and for yourself - as well - we will be praying for you - I know that you may not believe how much the power of prayer works - but believe me - it does - be strong and rest in the knowledge that God hears our prayers and he has something that he wants for you - at this time - trust in his will for you. I sure do.

It is so hard to face mortality, but remember you are not alone. You have so many of us praying for you and your husband. I am praying especially for strength and comfort for you. I wish I were there to give you a hug, but I can send you a BIG electonic HUG just for you.

Lucy, you and your sweet husband are in my prayers. My husband went through 3 years of tests before he was finally diagnosed with two rare, progressively debilitating diseases. I was scared, too, that I would lose him, and I, like you, went from my parents' home to my new married life home. With my DH's illness, we just have slowed our life way down, and we are learning to live in a different, less stressful pace. Remember, you may not know where all this is headed, but you can go there with God.
Keep us all posted as to your daily needs and what you find out. I just really feel that this will not be nearly as bad as you are feeling right now. Stay strong in your faith, dear one.

I really don't know what to say other than beleive in God & what he wants for you. I have a cousin who has Lymphoma & has had it for about 10yrs. She does have to go for chemo at times but she is doing great and has the greatest attitude about it all. Please just beleive what is happening will all turn out the way God wants & for your best. Lucy, You have a large family here praying for you for strength and peace during this troubling time. Others have said very eloquently what I believe and know. Christ will sustain you (Philippians 4:13). Take heart dear one.

Dear Lucy,

it's not the same to talk about something like this hard times you have now and to be in the midths of it.
Try to chnage you view from: the glass is half empty to the glass is stil half full! Believe me it's a big secret. In romans the bible says that everything - means everything!- is for the good if the children of God. Say this sometimes to yourself and o your husband. My favourite saying to myself is:

God comes latest at the right time.

I need this verse as my husband had heavy haert attack and was completly out of order for six monthes after the operation. But now I can say - it worked! Don't carry your beloved on your shoulders, carry him with your heart. If Jesus is in your heart - so he will carry him. Believe only with your mind firt by decision, you will see - it will go down to your heart which mean feelings. It's o.k. to be weak for a while and complain an feel fear and ask why - Jesus did the same before he went to the cross. But after a while - take a breath, do something what yo really like, may be embroidery?? may be sewing, phoning somone, going swimming whatever.

Be there for your husband but don't point your view too much on the desease - put it on the hope and view after a succesful treatment.
Anyway there is beeing a solution for you prepared in heaven right now.
I will pray for you both to stand on the rock of the hope and eternal love. As i read many of cuties do this - so the bible says if one or two agree to ask for something it will happen. Believe in that! Speak to God what he promised you.
I pray for a bi portion of strenght and courage.

P.S.: In that hard times I had, I started more to embroider. I pleased some friends with towels, pillows and so on. They started to ask me for buying that and give away for their friends - so I have a small income now - think about your skills! You have! All of us have skills. Also worth to pray for it.

My brother had a horrible head injury, it took ten years to heal, very long time to suffer, but god brought him through it with faith and perseverance and prayers. You can do it!

Lucy, everyone else has said how I feel, but before you panic, wait to get the results of the tests. Some forms of lymphoma respond favorably to treatment. Get the facts and then start your fight. May God be with you.

My heart is with you. Don't be too discouraged, there can be life after the "C" word. My husband was diagnosed in Sept. And, life is good again. I appreciate life so much more now. You have received some excellent words of counsel and comfort from CE friends. Draw close to your savior, and read and reread the words from CE, they will give you comfort.

MAY THE LOVE OF GOD STRENGHTHEN YOU AT THIS TIME OF NEED. HE WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU AND I KNOW THAT HE LISTENS TO AND ANSWERS THE PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL.

THERE ARE SO MANY OF US ON HERE WHO ARE PRAYING FOR YOU AND HUBBY. DON'T DWELL ON WHAT HAS NOT HAPPENED AS YET, BELIEVE THAT THIS IS JUST A TRIAL TEST AND THAT HE WILL COME THROUGH THIS WITH FLYING COLOURS. THERE IS NO GOOD IN DWELLING ON THE UNKOWN ADN DON'T GET DEPRESSED. MEG'S RIGHT WHEN YOU DO THAT THE DEVIL SLIDES IN AND FILLS YOUR HEAD WITH HIS "STUFF".

I PRAY THAT YOU WILL HAVE RESTFUL, PEACEFUL, REFRESHING SLEEP - PRAY FOR HIM EVERYTIME YOU PUT YOUR HEAD ON YOUR PILLOW BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP - I DO MOST OF MY HARDEST PRAYING AT THAT TIME. I KNOW YOU ARE SCARED, I TOO WENT FROM MY PARENTS HOME STRAIGHT TO THE MARRIED HOME AND HAVE ALWAYS RELIED ON TREVOR FOR EVERYTHING.

I PRAY THAT YOU WILL FIND THE STRENGTH TO BE A "ROCK OF SALVATION" FOR HIM, JUST LET GO AND HAND OVER ALL YOUR WORRIES AND FEARS AND LAY IT AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS.
