I have a question! I need a plain gift bag for the small hoop. I was asked to make quite a few of them for a keepsake for relatives of a purple heart vet. Any ideas?

That's adorable. You can get some beads in the shape and color of purple hearts to add to the tie. Here they call them 'pony beads'.

My DIL grandfather died. He was a purple Heart vet. I was asked to put his initials in a heart and they would put the shells from the salute firing in the keepsake bags for the great grandkids and GC. The pony ties sound like a great add on. I saw some purple heart mementos at Amazon. They may buy them to add to the bag.
