My friends, My mother had a small improvement, but very weak and doctors say she is entering a part of Alzheimer's. Our struggle has been very great. The father and mother got very old. Our luck is that we are 8 brothers and 4 women. Our face care is well controlled together. My mother has always been a very dear person and loved by everyone and she is now reaping the rewards. Thank you for the affection of all

Dilceia minha querida, estou torcendo por você.
Ontem eu telefonei para você, mas o seu filho me falou que você estava no hospital. Ele me deu noticias da sua mãe. Se Deus quizer, vai dar tudo certo! Confie.
Me ligue assim que puder.
beijinhos.

Dilceia, I will be praying for your dear sweet Mother and your family. It is hard to have one with Alzheimer's - my Mother had that and dementia - along with numerous other life threaten things - however - with the proper care - she had a really good couple years - enjoying life as much as she could and with a family the size of yours - I do hope that you all visit and care for her for many more years.

I hope loving care will keep your mother as comfortable as possible and slow down the effects of Alzheimer's. It is a great thing you can share the care among 12 and I hope everyone of them does their bit so the tasks are evenly spread and can be maintained for a long period of time.
When my father needed care 2 years ago only 2 of the 5 did their bit. Luckily it was 'only' a serious bout of pneumonia, it took about a year for him to be able to cope again. His short term memory is not what it used to be, but at 97 that's to be expected.

I'm praying for you and your mother. I know how difficult it can be to see your mother doing poorly. Praise God for giving your parents loving children to care for them, as they once cared for each of you.
Blessings from God,
Jacqueline

Dilceia - our thoughts and prayers are with you. I lost my mother to Alzheimer's 3 years ago. I came from a family of 6, but we were scattered all over the United States, and only a couple got to see her often. I tried to get tere 2 times a year, but her last few years she did not know who I was. But, she had a very loving and caring husband that cared for her until he could no loner do it. Visit as often as you can, and show her the love that you have for her. Blessing to you and your family.

It is terrible to see them grow old and they become like your kids. But I'm grateful for every day I still have them. I think of you and everybody that goes through this, it is difficult to explain that you want to laugh and cry at the same time. But this is probably what love is all about. Keep your spirits up - although they do not always seem to appreciate I think they do - hopefully we set the example for our kids to treat us with love and understanding when it is our turn to turn into kids again.

Hi Dilceia, what a sad new, you have now to surround her with your sisters and brothers. The same has happennedto my mother after my father passed. It is terrible to become "the mother of herself mother".Say to her how much you love her, as long that she can understand your speech, but she always will understand that your hand on her hand is a gesture of love. Be courageous, hugs
