Embird is very good, and it has a 30 days trail for free. Just go to Embird site or secret of embroidery and download the free trial to see if you like it.

I have pretty much only heard of this Embird. I will do this. but was hoping to have an idea if there was anything else out there first. the only other that my dealer told me about is the Janome software, but that is thousands of dollars...

I just downloaded the free trial by Buzztools, and found it very nice and not so expensive, although I only used the part that converts designs. Mabe you can just google buzztools and see what it is like?. Good luck with your search.

You can try the free Stitch Era software. I downloaded it but haven't tried it yet. Perhaps someone who has used it can chime in.
