height of the valley walls and the power of the waterfalls in person. I hadn't been to Yosemite since I was little so it was absolutely amazing to see! We stayed in Housekeeping camp where the sites have "cabins" with 3 cement walls and a curtain. Common bathrooms were nearby that have warm water. We had electricity so our space heater kept us very cozy. It's not hotel camping but as my daughter says, "At least we didn't have to dig a hole." LOL We did have to keep everything with a scent in a locked metal bear box including food, lotion, chapstick, even soap and shampoo. Our only serious predators this trip were aggressive squirrels. We could not leave anything remotely food like unattended for a minute or they would take it. I'll post some pictures for you and then it's back to carpools and real life.

The pictures of you and your family at one of the most beautiful places, I've ever seen, are breathtaking. You are a lovely family!

crafter2243 They have hotels if you don't like to rough-it. But yes, you are too close to not go!
I'm still feeling the effects. I step outside and my mind thinks I'm still in the forest :)

Heaven, a good comparison. It does feel spiritual there, some sort of connection to Mother Earth and time everlasting.

Ohhhh. Makes me want to take another trip. And my husband and I spent 2 weeks in Australia 2 months ago. I loved Australia. It is a beautiful country and everyone was so nice there. I recomend that you save your dollars and go sometime. Anyway, too soon for another trip.
