This is the first quilt I ever made .the center is a painted tree with babies in it with the birth dates the babies on the bench are the ones that passed when they were just like 2 days old. I made this for my mother for Mothers day .the blocks are made form knit fabric some one gave me I was very young when I did this. I also hand quilted it .

my Sister now has it. Thanks for looking

What a beautiful heirloom. I hope that it continues to pass into the hands of family members who love and care for it.

You created a gift to go from one family member to another, you should write down how you made it, why you made it and add that information in a little note book so others will have it to remember. This is a wonderful memory quilt...for a first timer instinct is often the best method of design. I applaud you.

I was 30 when I did this but it was the first quilt I completely made and hand quilted by my self.I played with peasing blocks with my granny when I was 7. I always try to do the bigest or smallest thing the harder it is the better i like to do it
