The operation in itself was very painful and the night after terrible. But the next day all seemed fine. I have perfect nearby vision in the one eye so reading etc does not seem to be much of a problem although I do get tired quickly. Driving a bit of a problem but I stick to the quiet, known and back roads and cope fairly well. The operated eye has hardly any recogniseable vision but hopefully when settled in a months time I will be able to get temp spectacles until the stitches are removed in about eight months time. Then we will be able to see what the success of the op was. I am however extremely positive and just know it will be good. In the meantime I stick to doctors orders. Take the medicine and patiently awaits the outcome.
I agree with your comments to Shirlene - there are some very wonderful people on here.
