Just a few, made with quilted placemats. A serving spoon closes them when inserted in the 2 buttonholds at one end.

very nice, Lillian. A couple years ago, Walmart was discontinuing some of these placemats and I picked up several. I would love to try these sometime...maybe you have inspired me to put this near the top of my list! A+

Thank you KK. I hope you do some. Easy & good sellers if you are in an area where they carry anykind of food or cakes to work, church homes whatever. *

Lillian, these make wonderful and very quaint gifts! I have got to find my pattern and make some of these. I have a small supply of placemats that I bought to do this with and never got around to trying. When I first joined several Yahoo Groups, they were on every group is several different patterns/styles. I got the fever but it died down in too big of a hurry! I have a burgundy and a black table runner and the placemats to match them that I bought on sale to do something with and this is a great idea! My DIL loves the browns/burgundys and for some reason the blacks to decorate with. My black place mats have gold swirls in them. Every frame in her house is black except for the ones that I have given them. I like to use Brown wood frames and that is what she gets from me. Thomas Kinkade's prints do not look good in black. To me it takes away from the beauty in his painting. The frame and mat needs to match the picture in it! I even purchased a Rosemaling Spray from Emblibrary to put on the Burgandy table runner but they moved in with her Daughter and family to keep them from losing their home but THAT did NOT work and they bought a home in late March or early April and moved out to theirselves again. I guess now is about the right time to get started!
