Hi Cuties, I have a question about embroidering Monograms on pillowslips?

If making a pair do you embroider Letter the same on both or do you flip the design?

I don't think there is a rule but I have only made the pillowcases the same but I can certainly see flipping them too!

Sally, I have only stitched them out the same - but flipping them would also take some time - to get the Monogram correct, I believe.

If you flip the letters they will be back to front.

Thanks I did think that with my initial it would be ok with some as it can read from top to bottom. Now I have confused myself.

Hi everyone! I think I may have asked incorrectly what I was meaning. When you have only one initial like the purple font both slips being the same initial. When you place them on the bed you have to have one edge in the middle and one at the edge of the bed. I was thinking about have both slips at either edge or both in the middle if I did that I would have one upside down. Hope that is a better explanation. What do you think! Sally

It sounds as if you are asking if they should be rotated. That way both initials are facing the same way when the openings are different directions. I think that would be a good idea. Joyce

I would flip the design so the bottom of the letter is closest to the opening. I also think the opening should be closest to the edge of the bed, and not the center of bed.

I don't understand, I would do the same on both. If you flip them, you get a mirrow image and you cannot see the initialletter very well.or did I misunderstood the question?
