I have spent an age and I mean an age trying to make my own design so she will have something unique. I posted recently asking about fonts sewing out as I was getting so frustrated/disillusioned with how it was going. (Thanks to all who posted with replies)

The machine ate my design and I could have cried. I then borrowed some fabric from my friend which I then melted with the iron (and the pressing cloth too)

I changed the design and used one I had not designed AND am now delighted to say it is FINISHED and I can give it to my daughter to take when she sets off tomorrow for the wedding on Saturday. I now can go to bed and not worry about it. Next time ..?
I will get the job done earlier.

Isn't that allways the way with these things. I have been making such promises to my self for 40 years and things still go the way you just described. Keeps up on our toes eh!

I'm the queen of procrastination!! Last January 2 family members asked me to make something for next Christmas. I'm still in the early planning stages! LOL

I find when I make something too early I never like it the longer I look at it the more I find wrong, and when I wait until the last minute to make something everything that can go wrong does there is no win win for me hahaha

I've been sewing on buttons on my daughter's wedding dress the morning of her wedding day - that was 10 years ago, but I'm still being teased every anniversary.

OH, I am so sorry it took so many tries to finish the pillow. But 'pat on the back' and a big hug to you. What a very special gift for her. Now rest up for the next project. It never seems to be very long before one comes along.

Glad you finished it and have done a good job. It's happened to use all, to make mistakes on special projects. Just last week I was sewing on Cub Scout patches at a restaurant, for my GS bridge ceremony.
