days. So it will be staying in the house for the next week for me. Golly dit they hurt my when putting in the IV. I look like I came back from war. Holes and blue marks all over my arms. My veins kept on popping or falling flat. Yesterday was a nightmare and when the nurse left the ward I just started crying from this terrible pain. 1st time I cry over pain in many years. Love u all a lot.

I will be praying for you, I have had pneumonia already and I thought that was so horrible until I developed pleurisy one year. Everyone that saw me thought I was going to die. I could barely walk. The DR. wanted to admit me to the hosp. but I refused and did outpatient therapy of IV antibiotics. It was a very long and slow recovery. Stay strong and postive in your faith, it is the only way. Pray for your Dr's to be alert and compassionate and I will too.

Thanks a lot dear. I also had pleurisy once and it was not nice. Here in SA they don't give outpatient IV antibiotics as far as I know. Am actually stay in bed today cause very cold now. Annatjie

I'm so sorry to hear you were ill. I hope you'll fully recover now that you're home again. No more poking needles in unwilling veins - that must have been very painful for you to cry. Beterschap, Martine.

Hi Martine, Thanks a lot for thinking of me. En ek sien hier ontmoet ek nog 'n Nederlandse vriendin. I correspond to another cute friend from there for a year now. Me in Afr and she in Dutch and we understand each other quite good.

I know it's fairly easy to understand Afrikaans. My newspaper had a series on poetry by a female writer a couple of years back and I loved her poems - alas I've forgotten her name.

So sorry this had to happen anna. IVs can b a bummer, as a nurse myself I never stick more than twice. I get someone I know will get in to do it. Problem is as we get older our veins get more spidery & when u r sick & dehydrated they get even smaller. Do as the Dr. says , rest is the key & meds, drink lots of fluids. Hope you are feeling lots better soon./Lillian

Lillian thanks a lot. Yes I do rest a lot cause I am too weak to do anything. And luckily I drink quite a lot of water.

I am so sorry that you are sick and in such terrible pain. Behave yourself and rest. The most you should do is to tell us how you are doing. I am including you in my prayers. I understand about crying, it is ok. You are so weak that you just can't manage. That is why you need to rest.
