Some 30 years ago I was diagnosed with asthma. Never had to have any treatment until a tumor on my thyroid went unnoticed. By the time the tumor was removed I was on eleven medications. Three types of inhalers. Not fun when you can't get oxygen in. It was a bit freighting for my family to watch me gasping for air. Have learned to get rid of some of my clutter stress and that has helped. Now a year and a half after the tumor was removed I'm down to two prescriptions. Sitting straight up and leaning slightly forward helped get air in for me. Also learning how to calm the constricting attack without medication has been helpful. The medications they gave me for COPD left some nasty side effects. Hope tomorrow you get good results and not have to go through what I did.

Sonja, I will keep you in my prayers and I hope that the Dr's find some relief for you very soon! Also use your judgement very carefully. This will have to be a joint effort between you and your Dr's because only you can tell if you are doing better or not. Sonja I will have you in my prayers .
I know God is with you MY ML had lung surgery a few months back she only hac 2/3 if one lung she is doing great of course she can not do like she used to do .but is good.

I don't know your medical history but if you have lung problems PLEASE have you Doctor test you for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency also know as Alpha-1. It is a simple blood test. Alpha-1 it is a gentic form of emphysema. I have Alpha-1 and it took me 8 years before I was diagnosed. To learn more go to this website. www.alpha-1.org
