I'm hoping to buy 5000m cones if possible. I use Isacord - only 1000m cones available here - or Maderia but would welcome suggestions as to other makes.

Thanks.

I use Brildor and Metro and you can use the same thread for FSL as you use for embroidery, just take the same colour on your bobbin that's the only difference. Have a nice trip and good shopping :0)

Thank you. I've never heard of either of these, I'll add them to my shopping list. It's always nice to know somebody has used something successfully before I buy. * for you.

I too use Metro's threads and I have done many FSL. They have 5500m cones. Have a great vacation.

I have shopped on line at Allthreads with good success. They sell all the colors of Mediera, many in 5,000m cones, the rest in 1,100m cones. I am very interested in using Metro thread but they don't have all the shades that Madiera has. If you order $150 worth of product, shipping is free.

Thank you for your reply too. Again, I've never heard of Allthreads either. Here in the U.K Maderia seems to be the NO. 1 choice and although I get free postage I'm shopping around. * for you
