Just curious, I was reading about everybodys stash (of course I don't have anything like that!!!! yeah sure) and was curious when buying new fabric how much do you buy??? I usually get 2 yd. ;-)

I get at least 1-4 yards depending on what I intend to use it for.

sometimes it's just a matter of my budget. I usually buy 1-2 yards, because I like to use different pieces and get tired of using the same thing.

3 yds is the magic number for me unless I am doing a project I have measured for or just don't have the cash for that much and love the fabric.

Hmm. I have purchased the entire piece(1 was about 7 yds), but usually 3-5 yds at a time. I tend to buy quite a bit because I often make placemats which takes a lot of fabric for a set. And it must always be on sale or with a coupon.

I usually get bewteen 1 or 2 meters...we do meters here in Canada. It's just a tad bigger than a yard.
