I love my Husqvarna Designer SE is the best machine Iown. I also own a Janome 9500 but what I like about my viking is that you can change any design format to work in the machine and it will open zip files. It is a great machine.

I have a Diamond and an SE. I do like them, but as with everything, you can get a "lemon." I think they have all the problems worked out of the Diamond now. I have heard they will no longer be making the SE. As I am always saying, "be sure you have a good dealer to help you if you have any problems!" Might want to check how available the replacement parts for the D2 in case you need them!

Don't buy the Designer II. I have one and you have to transfer all designs to a D-card, which are not even being made anymore. The d-cards are selling like crazy on Ebay, because everyone is panicing. It's a real pain. I love my machine, but wouldn't buy it again. It's really outdated. (of course, unless you get a REALLY good deal)

I think i am getting a good deal $2,000 for the machine with two cart,one on quilting & one with flowers but i will go over to ebay & look on there & see what they have .Thanks for the info Carolyn

Hi Carolyn - yes, I own a HVDII and I love it. It is a sewing/quilting/embroidery machine so it's very versatile. It's also strong and reliable.
However, I believe they are being discontinued so make sure you do some research with dealers before you go ahead and outlay big money on one.

Thanks Alma,I know it is slightly outdated but my singers keep breaking down.I have had 5 of them now.One i just plain sew with it is excellent.But the two embroidery machines are a royal pain in the butt.Thanks for commenting it means a lot to me Carolyn

Carolyn, good luck on the purchase of the Designer II - my Mother had a Designer I and she loved it - I have stitched on it a couple times, it seems to work really well, but not as user friendly as my Babylock.

I have the designer 1 usb and you'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands when I die. I love my machine and never had a problem. To me it was worth every penny.

I really like the Viking products. I prefer the SE because of the USB connection to the computer. You don't have to fiddle with the cards! Of course they are no longer going to make them. However, they are coming out with a replacement for it. I assume it will be a step down from the diamond.
