I bought some on sale at JoAnn Fabrics over Memorial Day weekend. I bought them for general sewing. Has anyone used them, and have they performed well for you?

I forgot to mention that these are sewing machine needles, not hand sewing needles.

Good question! Have you tried them yet? For some reason the older I get, my needles are getting harder to thread :)

No I haven't but I would be interrested to find out if they work and how well. I have the same problem like Daisy. Eyesight isn't as good as it used to be.

I have Schmetz needles, but had not heard of quick threading neddles. I hope someone comes along with an answer.

Yes, I have used them. Both the machine ones and the hand sewing ones. I like the machine ones but the smallest you can get is 80/12 and I prefer a smaller needle. Luckily I got a new machine with a automatic threader so I can go back to the smaller regular needles but I would use the quicks again without hesitation. I did not care for the hand ones - the slot is on the top and is tough on the fingers (even with a thimble).

The needles are size 80/12. Not sure if they come in other sizes. The instructions state to slide the thread along the side of the needle until it clips into the needle eye.
