Childrens Hospital, BC Canada print a calendar every year from art work done by patients in the oncology ward. Last year I asked my guild if we could take the pictures and turn them into quilts for the children. The members loved the idea and we took 32 quilts to the hospital yesterday June 17, 2010 for the children and some siblings. I made this quilt with another member for Cassidy. Unfortunately we did not have it made for Cassidy to see it, but her family were thrilled with it and I do hope it brings them some comfort. Cassidy drew the picture of the frog catching flies. She loved sea world and fishing. Another member did the frog and flies and I completed the quilt. This is a very rewarding and uplifting experience and the children and their families are an inspiration to us all.
Your guild should be very proud of themselves - this is a beautiful thing you have done.
