I also have an Evolve wave. I checked th4 quick reference guide that came with my machine. Way in the back on page 84 at the bottom it lists Needle System. The machine uses Schmetz or Organ ELx705CF #80/12 to #90/14. On page 7 as I look further it states that the 90/14 is good for most medium to heavyweight fabrics. The 80/12 is for lightweight fabrics. The needles are ballpoint and suitable for knits and wovens. I am glad you asked the question. I hadn't looked ahead to see what I needed.

02kar thank you for your answer ,I have not taken delivery of my machine yet .I wanted to find out the best price for the needles because at the Quilt show I was told they were not the usual needles & not everyone sold them.The machine I saw had the needle type on the machine when the door was opened to thread the loopers. The dealer is over 60 kms away so it is a long way to go for needles.
Husband passed out for a few seconds just after I posted this ,breaking his ankle & damaging his knee when he landed on the tiles, which means I'll probably have to delay picking up my machine for awhile until someone is home in case of another mishap.
