An Old Irish Blessing

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.

Thanks for you posting. It's really good to start the day with a good saying, to make place for good thinking for the coming challenges of the day.
God bless you and brighten also your day

Thanks! She is a Coton de Tulear, named Jette, my baby after my three children are gone from home into their owns flats. She is only two years old and the cutiest dog I ever had and saw. She loves everybody and everybody loves her ( sometimes I think she would be a good Christian)
I have to change the photo for a newer one, she looks more funny than me

Thanks Gerry!<br />I just copied this on some very nice paper and I am going to frame it! I am thinking about painting a few shamrocks on it. I have not painted in yrs and afraid my hands might not be steady enough to paint anything that has to be precise. I am half Irish and whatever the other half is is yet to be known. There are only 2 older sisters left on my Dad's side of the family and neither of them know anything about their family background. They did tell me that someone is the family had written a book on it yrs ago but have no idea if this person is even alive. My 2 aunts are 77 and 79 come their birthdays in a couple of months. They do come from some tough stock because both of them get around like ladies at least 20 yrs younger than what they are and have not aged very much in the last 20 yrs. The youngest drove a school bus until she had to retire(age) and the oldest is still running and working in her own beauty shop. The youngest has a whole bunch of children and grand children that we jokingly the "Rich" reservation on the outskirts of Swainsboro, Ga. on alot of acres of land and timber land that he inherited. The one that bulit their house the furthest away from the main house was their daughter and her husband. You can see their home from my aunt's front porch. The youngest aunt and her husband("The Riche's") do not have time to get old! He is a barber and she always has at least one and up to 15 grands in her house. I am headed home as soon as my leg gets well!!!!!

I enjoyed reading about your family. I am doing genealogy for my family and I have been reading old letters written in the early 1900's and late 1800's
I think that it is so awesome to connect with our past.

These blessings are great; my mom is of Irish descent, is nearly 90years old and still quilts by machine. I'd like to embroider some of these on her quilts. Thanks so much.
