cleaning and recleaning, changing the needle and bobbin, and leaving it alone for 2 days, it seems to be happier. Of course, I haven't tried to do more FSL yet, but at least we are talking again. And I kept reminding myself that I wasn't allowed to throw anything anywhere. I read the posts and remembered them. Patience is important.

Ooooooh! Where did you get the design for the sleigh and reindeer? I'd like to try it for "the girls" (AKA my daughters-in-law) for Christmas.
And, I feel your pain. A while back, my computer that I used for my Singer embroidery machine crashed, and, of course, I could not find the installation software disk to load on my new laptop. I turned the house upside down and still couldn't find it. Finally, I had to break down and buy a replacement disk ($100!!). THEN, the disk I got wouldn't work -- they finally made a COPY of the disk, and IT worked!! (Go figure...) And, I was in the middle of a project at the time all this took place -- about 6 weeks of no embroidery. I was one unhappy camper for awhile! LOL
Blessings,
Diane

I,m really glad to hear of your perseverance. My sons have learnt this from me .And we fix all types of things, toasters, sewing machines, guitar amps, and other things.
Nothing 'goes out the window.'
from Bev
p.s.My sons definately do't not agree, about leaving a sewing machine,or any other thing, off for a day or two would help anything.

Oh, I think turning computer equipment off resets it. Many problems get corrected when you reboot, and setting go back to original factory settings. Sewing machines have computers in them, so I would think rebooting the machine could help.
You are right about rebooting!

Karen, so sorry to hear that you Multi-needle BMP was naughty - that isn't good - sounds like you took care of it in a good way. Hehehe! If you are doing this reindeer & sleigh for the local shop and you had trouble - you should have asked them to assist you for no pay, because of that alone. But you are right patience is important. Hope to view your sleigh and reindeer in the projects, soon or when they have it display at the very least.
