There are some free programs that help you to convert it to the format that you need! I will look to see what some of those are! I have a program that I purchased, Sewpro. You may already have a program that will do it one that helps you put the fonts together. But maybe some of the other girls will know a program.

Thank you. Will this program convert designs TO .ART?

No,,,,will convert FROM ART, but not to. I don't think anything except the Bernina programs will convert to ART

I think this answer is true, but then why would you like to convert it INTO ART if you don't have the Bernina software?

If you purchased the design, would the designer let you download it again in the correct format. I know Embroidery Library let you. I change my machine from an Elna to a Janome and they were very willing to allow me to get EVERYTHING again in the new format - even the freebies. (As you can tell I'm a fan of EmbLib)

If you have designs from emblibrary you just go to your orderhistory and above there is a button "change format" or you go to that order and change the format for every single design. So you can dl them again in the right format instantly without loosing time. I'm also a big EL-fan ;o)

I have downloaded the TES viewer but when I try to get into it it says to enter some code. Do you know what it is talking about?

Embroiderydesigns.com have a free program to do this. It is posted under free items on left hand side of page. It is wonderful, I use it a lot.
Hope it works for you.
