So no surprise there. It's a working kitchen now, even got the new faulty dishwasher replaced. Just details to do now like trim, paint, seal the counter, get the rest of my knobs, etc. My wood floor did not get protected enough so we will have to get some fixing done there too.
By the way I used Alno knobs and handles which are beautiful but I got 50% defective ones. I would request 1/2 the order to be re-ordered and 1/2 of them would be bad., and repeat.... I'm down to needing 7 more.
Here are the pictures to date. I can't even say how much I love my granite. My old counter had tile with bad grout so this is heaven.

Some of you Cuties that are into details might have noticed the door to the front entry hall in picture 4 swings into the cabinet doors if they are open. We will be changing the direction of the door to swing into the hall.
Need window covering too! It's almost impossible to dishes with the setting sun in your eyes.
Also in picture 4 you can see part of the living room and I'm standing in the dining room. To the left out of sight is an extension of the dining room where my sewing center is. It also has the matching cabinets and granite :)

Yes, they say having all of those outlets is the "code". There is one on the edge of the peninsula too.

Ooooo! It is so beautiful! Would love to have granite counter tops and your beautiful kitchen. The appliances look like a dream also. Soon, all will return to normal. Try to be patient until it does.
Next time I'm in CA, I'll see it in person. (Ha! I've only been to CA twice, and both times it was only an overnight stay on the way to Hawaii.) Well, if I do ever visit, I'll beg permission to visit you first.

Sewmom, your new kichen is lovely. As we all know there is always extra headaches with any type of work like this. Next week we are getting the templets made for new counter tops for our kitchen, plus a sink and fixtures. Hope we don't run into too many delays. I'm sure you will enjoy your new kitchen for many years. God bless, Judy

I hope your counter turns out great. I went to the shop to make sure the templates went on the granite exactly where I wanted them. It was worth it.

This is awesome - what a great kitchen - I wouldn't know what to do with so much room, now. In my home in NC - I have a great kitchen, but not this much stoage space.

Gee, your kitchen is looking great. Mine is still being done - I have the kitchen installer here at the moment installing the rangehood over the hotplates and the plasterer working around him. We have had bulkheads put right up to the ceiling as I hate cupboards that get dust on the top.
If you're are anything like me and vertically challenged then you won't be able to get to the cupboards above you fridge too! I will need a stool to get up to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait for mine to finish - it should be right by next week!

Just like you, step stool is very handy! My cupboard goes to the top too. Why would anyone want to dust up there?
The cupboards over the fridge are halfway done with vertical slots so I can slide baking sheets and pans in.

I'm afraid we are going bland with the window treatment. We need to put blinds up to block the evening sun, they will probably match the cabinets. If I get the inkling I may put a fabric valance up to add a touch of color.

your new kitchen is just beautiful.... wow...wow...so much room... I have a tiny 10 by 10 kitchen it is so small , 1 step to the sink and turn and 1 step to the stove and 2 steps to the frig and 1/2 step to the dishwasher.. I just keep turning in circles.. enjoy your beautiful new kitchen..

Just beautiful! How I would love a kitchen like that! I'm in an apartment (which I dislike). Even just to have that size of kitchen would appease me - I hate small kitchens!

Just beautiful, ONE DAY in this system I also will be getting a new kitchen. DH is lucky to have a wife who is VERY PATIENT...We don't live in our main house, we live in the cottage and are slowing doing our home up. We are painting the main bedroom any day now...that's a start...
