I've been in "Poundland" today (in Lincoln) and they have some nice black and white checked cotton aprons as well as the cream ones with red binding that I've mentioned before. They are 100% cotton and great for adding embroidery.

The ones I have seen feel as if they would disintigrate when washed, you obviously have a better quality of poundshops. Anyone ever in Japan should check out the 100 yen shops they are brilliant. Thanks Sue

I am so happy tht you found them there. I just realized the your poundshops are like our $1 stores - silly me - for not understanding that before - duh!!!!
