thread for each color, or can you pick just one dominant color from the design and go with that?

For FSL, I usually change the bobbin thread to match the top thread. That way, the design looks the same on both sides. It takes a little more time and trouble, but I like the results.

I always use the same color on the top and in the bobbin - I change the colors in each. I too, like the effect of it being the same on both sides.

If you want the lace to look the same on both sides then use the same color in the bobbin as on the top. It takes a little more work but well worth the effort.

Do you all wind bobbine from your Emb. Thread or buy bobbins of a different weight?
