Don't know for sure, but my guess is polymesh, is a mesh made from polyester maybe less fibers,possibly more breathable, where as the regular cut away isn't a mesh but more of a fiber fabric type of stablizer. this is a great question and hope some one can clear it up.

Monica, regular cut-away stabilizer looks like kind of a thin piece of felt, it's meant to hold high stitch counts, and it's kind of 'stiff', creases when you bend it. The poly-mesh cut-away will look more like a wash-away, it's thinner, kind of 'drapey', you can actually see thru it a little. It's meant to still be strong enough to hold pretty high stitch counts, although just personally I don't think as high as the regular cut-away. But if you were doing something like a blouse, where the regular cut away would give you kind of a stiff spot under your embroidery, the poly mesh would be much softer, less likely to show thru, be softer against the skin, etc. Hope this helps, hugs, Marji

Polymesh Cut-a-Way will not distort your fabric. I use it a lot with blends of cotton/poly on tee shirts. Don't forget the topping.
