it's just a little too big for my 5x7 hoop. (Largest I can go on my machine.) Darn it!

Can you use just the elements of a letter? Maybe the seahorse and the shell?

If you remove the dark blue outter edge if works, it now becomes 6.65 in length. That would be, if you don't have a program to remove it,the 1st and 2nd jump of the dark blue. I hope that helps.

I didn't realize that is would not fit in a 5x7 hoop...I hesitated on downloading because of the stitch count....guess I will delete it...Janet

Lots of times I do skip. I just keep my eye on the color, step and what it stitches out to skip. Not all designs you can do this. I always test the design first and make notes, what do I do with the test designs that turn out beautiful? I incorporate them into a quilt. I have a bunch of yellow and white squares precut for this purpose.

I also tried the design , without removing the blue edge on the jamone customizer so I could download it for my machine and it accepted the design as is. My max. is also 5x7, so the measurement may be off a bit on the actual design. Again I hope that helps

Thanks for the suggestions. My software is allowing me to reduce the size, to make it fit.

i know the feeling... my hoop is only 4x4... it's getting harder and harder to find designs to fit my poor tiny hoop :(

I run into this sooo often with my meager 4x! And this design is so gorgeous. I'm collecting it anyway, when I grow up I'm gettin' a bigger machine :)

Sandy, that is the smart thing to do - because you just never know - you might get a bigger hoop or a machine that has one - in the future - I collects ones larger than my 5x7 for two years - before I ever had a hoop that they would fit in and I am ever grateful that I did.

Well crap! I got the one this morning and was hoping to get them all, never noticed they were too big! I only have 4 by 4. Guess I shouldn't just assume they are going to be smaller!

I do think that you could dreduce this with your machine software - for just that small amount - without causing you too much difficulity. It sure is pretty.

When I read this here I was shocked because I didn't recognise that the designs are so big. Now I'm happy again because my Janome has a 140x200mm-hoop so they fit in :o)
Wish you all the big jackpot in the next lottery to get machines with big hoops to make you all happy again ;-)

The Janome 5x7 will allow you to stitch this design
since I don't know what kind of machine you use you may want to dl it to your machine and just try it. Just because a design says 5.1 x 7.25 doesn't mean it won't work I just stitched out the B and it's beautiful...so don't give up so easily.
