This an Amy Butler made by my 12yr old Daughter Amy. Amy and I cut out the bag together and then I helped her to follow the instructions. She sewed it together on her new sewing machine. Material left over from her bedroom curtains.
Our friends at the Newport Sewing Centre, were very impressed at what she had done.

Very impressive! How great they can start sewing with something they can use. I remember we started in home ec with a gingham apron and a scarf. That got boring fast. What is the trim around the pockets? It looks glittery?

Impressive achievement, especially for one starting out on the sewing addiction :) I like the way the leftover curtain fabric was used, as well!

Well done Amy - I have a daughter Amy too and she also is a great seamstress. Unfortunately, she is the only one in our family!!!! LOL! besides me!
This is an excellent job especially as you are only 12. Keep on sewing, you'll only get better with age!
Love and blessings Chris

Congratulations to Amy on a beautiful piece of work. What type of sewing machine does she have? I look forward to seeing her next project. I thought about going to Newport on Wed but its 3 hours each way and my friend could not go:( so I decided not to
