Thinking of you at this difficult time

You and your mom will be in my prayers. Try to be positive and keep your faith. The Lord has given doctors and researchers the power to help people that have suffered a stroke. There have been great advancements in treating stroke patients.

I am thankful for your health at this time - had you still been ill - you might not have been able to go to her - in her time of need - this will be a hard time ahead for each of you - she is lucky that she has you to assist in her recovery.

So sorry to read this about your Mum - and also about you and your health problems. Take care of yourself too, it's often the Mums who don't get looked after, as we are too busy looking after everyone else.

Thank you all for your prayers, they are so much appreciated.
I have very limited internet time at the moment, this is the first time I've gotten to a computer but I will update here as I can.
Mum had the stroke Friday morning which affected her right side. Sunday afternoon she opened her eyes and recognised me. She smiles at us and seems to understand what we are saying but is unable to talk back yet. She will nod/shake her head when we talk to her or ask questions. The doctor's put in a feeding tube yesterday as her swallow is still weak, but they believe that will only be for a few days till she is stronger. It has affected her whole right side. We are taking things day by day with lots of prayer.
