Thank you, and I don't dare tell hubby or he will ban me from the computer, lol! Hope you and Rick are doing OK, things have really been tough for you and you are still here, so giving and helpful!

I have a time with my Osteoarthritis from time to time - but it doesn't afffect my downloading - Hehehe! But my carpal tunnel does. As for Rick and me, we are hanging in there - much better than the other way - I suppose.

Yes, you are in my thoughts daily. Wish I could help you.....you know how that story ends. Take care of each other.

Ouch! That even hurts to think about. Rest your elbow and take care . You don't want to be out of commission right before the holidays. I think it happens to all of us. But i have learned I really don't need all those free designs. I'll bet 75 % of what I download I have never used.

I probably won't either but the ones I have gotten over the last several days will be used for small Christmas gifts and some flower power jeans, did you see the new ones up on cute by zazmau? Some real 60's style flowers I can't wait to use!
by bevintex 09 Aug 2010
Thanks for pointing these out. I love the 60's type mod flower power designs. Maybe because I grew up in the 60's. Whoops, I'm telling my age

LOL... I know what you mean, but mine is the wrist... Of course my arthritis doesn't help at all. :)

Well, my left handed son is ambidextrous with everything but writing. Sadly, I am not, lol.

Try having your elbow higher than your keyboard. Putting yourself on a time out might help also. lol

It is higher but I do need a time out. Taking a 5 day vacation soon so that should help.
by capoodle 09 Aug 2010
Enjoy your vacation. Will be here when you get back. Always too many things things to get done just to go away.

Thanks for the laugh (in sympathy only) I also have a rather large bursa (lump) on my elbow that I lean on whilst downloading. So, so sore but where am I at this moment ? You have all of my sympathy ! Self induced, but then freebies are so addictive :-)

Exactly, just can't help myself. Hubby says we are going to go away soon for maybe 5 days, if that doesn't help, nothing will!
by cherylgauteng 10 Aug 2010
Even if your elbow gets better you will have "withdrawal from freebies" !! You will be thinking about how many lovely designs are only on the site for 24 or 48hrs. I know because our ISP was down for three days due to a break in an undersea cable and I experienced it - then I also had to buy the alphabet letters that I had missed. I was really down in the dumps for a while (in fact 3 days) Ha ha.

Had it once before but don't remember what I got it from. It will be better eventually. Thanks for the sympathy, lol.

If you want a fancy name for your tennis elbow, it's lateral epicondylitis. It sounds like you've probably aggravated the tendons in that elbow again. Try ice on it...20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. Good luck!

Oh, I like that name, really get people thinking, lol. For now I am hoping for good news from the oncologist on Wednesday!

So sorry for you. It will need to be rested until better. Do try using a sling to rest your arm this could help with the pain.
You will have to use your other hand to keep up your cute downloads.
I have a fantastic mouse pad with a jel substance built into a bulgy wrist rest, very comfortable.

I've thought about getting one of those. I'll rest it when we go on vacation.

I am so sorry because I know how bad tennis elbow hurts. I get it if I knit for to long at a time, or bowl on the WII. Have to bowl left handed and that doesn't work well for me. Oh well, at least my hubby can beat me that way. LOL Hope you are better soon. God bless, Judy

That's funny, I couldn't bowl left handed any more than I could write that way. Wish I had a Wii but then again, that would just be one more thing to make me hurt.

Hi,
I'm very sorry for your health condition.
A time ago I had tennis elbow and since that I use an officechair with armrest.
On the top of the right armrest I fastened a pillow so that I have the same hight as the desk has. For me it was helpful. It's important to have a good hight of the chair to reach the desk with your arm without stretching.

I will pray for quick healing, God may comfort and bless you

I just need to back off the computer a bit and rest it. This is nothing compared to what I have been going through. Just thought this was funny.

Oh, I understand. I get pain from my neck on down to my fingers. Nasty old herniated disk in my neck. If I told you to rest yout elbow then I would have to do the same thing. But be careful. I want you to enjoy your vacation.

The things we put ourselves through, won't even stop when we have pain from it. Depending on where I am getting the design from it can take me up to 17 mouse clicks to download.
