Do you perhaps *look* like a pincushion? LOL. Perhaps it's a good time to mention that there are worse possibilities. A friend has sewn into her finger with her sewing machine, and I've read on a list that someone has sewn with a machine into her breast(whilst trying to remove a bobbincase threadnest)-yikes! Ouchies!!!!

Everytime I stick myself the first thing I do is check for blood and then say oh thank goodness I didn't bleed on the project!

Hmmm nasty!. Here's a tip. Chew up a length of cotton thread into a spitty ball (yeah I know.. yuckky!!) then gently rub it over any blood spots on your work. Thread and spit absorb the blood. If there is a lot of blood.. get chewing!!

After reading some of these I think I will gladly stick myself with the pins! This is also the point where a little swearing is common, lol!

My daughter explained that to me years ago. It's a pin's magnet, most often in the right hand index fingertip. I'm glad we are not the only family with that genetic disorder. :)
