I didn't get to watch this last night had one of my grandsons. I hate that I missed this. The minute she opened her mouth I got goosebumps. Being a vocalist myself I know how much work and dedication goes into developing your vocal cords and diaphragm. Just think of what she will be able to do with that talent God gave her! The first time I sang for an audience I was that age and it was for Sat. Morning Church radio in Nashville Tn. The preacher's name was Rev. Curtis and I would sing for his radio show. They would then send them over HAMM radio for the Vietnam troops to listen to. My dad even got to hear me one of those times. I wish I could get my hands on those old tapes. Anyway, Back to this talented young lady. I hope she truly continues with this and not let peer pressure get in the way. Thanks Shirlene for sharing this.

Terre, I am glad you enjoyed her and I am thrilled to find out that you have talent, too. I hope you find those tapes - do a search on the Internet for the Rev and broadcast to Vietnam - maybe it will be there.
The preacher has been gone for over 45 yrs now. If I could remember the radio station that might be a start. I'll have to ask mom since dad was in Vietnam at the time. :)
That is a good start - she more than likely knows.
hope you can find some tapes back about this period :)
Now that would be great if we could get to hear you also from those tapes if you ever get them, lets all pray you can...

Yes, that is for sure - hope nothing changes for her - she has a great start now. I would love to be even able to carry a tune. Glad to hear that you are a singer and have been since you were 12, too.
