in this heat! Over 100 degrees every day for the last few weeks! I have the A/C going full blast and 2 fans blowing directly on me at my sewing table but it's still so uncomfortable I can only sit and sew for short periods at a time! I try to get started early in the morning but the morning cool hours go by fast! I would like to complete at least one project a day but that's just not happening! Do any of you have this problem?

I know it must be miserable. I hope you can get some relief from the heat soon.

I have been very uncomfortable this summer too. No A/C and the heat and humidity is exhausting. Now I know why sewing shops are called "sweat shops" my sewing room has been one this summer hahaha

I know how you feel. I also have the ac going along with a fan. 100 degrees here also but I'm in west Texas so it comes with the territory.

It's hot down here in SC, but for the past couple of weeks we've had quite a bit of rain too. It will cool off a day then it's back up to too much heat. We only have window air conditioners in one bedroom which is across from the sewing room. I have the ceiling fan and an extra fan in the hallway to help force the air from the other bedroom into the sewing room... Whew! I'm just getting sweaty typing all this. LOL HEHEHE

It has been rough over here in Arkansas. The A/C has been going non-stop. I keep the blinds down in my sewing room and that helps alot. I'm working hard to get some gifts done for family in PA that we are going to see 1st week of Oct. Have company coming middle of Sept. Carol

They just said on the radio "it's cooling off a bit--only 99 degrees" Summer in Texas--hot, hot, hot. Worth every penny of the electric bill to stay cool.

It's been about 90 in Ohio too, running the A/C every day, if it cools off it is only cause it rains and I can't open windows then either. We just had a quick storm roll through and it's down to 72 for now. I have a fan in front of the register pointed at my chair for computer and embroidery so I'm cooler here but still not getting much done!

I saw these fans a while ago. Was quite amused at what lengths someone will go to stay cool. The first one is a video and the second is just a page. Two different methods but the one using copper tubing is unique. Wished I thought of the idea when we didn't have A/C.

Living in Arkansas this year has not been a treat either. Temperatures are running over 100 each day and then add the heat index to it and we're feeling temps anywhere from 105 to 115. Suppose to be cooler next week only in the mid 90's we'll see. Seems like our ac runs constantly too. Fall is on it's way...just needs to hurry.

I know that feeling at least you have AC here in DR the AC is not 100% usefull, the electricity is very bad, so we have something called inverter, it is a divise that collects regular electricity to charge special batteries, when there is no power the inverter stars to work this is so fast that you do not even notice, the problem is the AC uses too much electricity so it can only be used with regular power, We have fans everywhere in the house, today it sooo hot you can only be next to a fan. For me it is double problem because I do not use my embroidery machine with the inverter, anyway, we just have to wait for this month and next month to be over, by the end of sept. usually the temperature gets better. LOL
