Welcome Sky.... I see you have your answer. FSL is basically machine embroidered lace that can stand alone without actual fabric behind it.(water soluable stabilizer is used like WSS, Vilene, Sulky, If you visit Love of Lace you can see what Shirlene makes. And again Welcome
